Rockbridge Area Community Services is committed to providing services that assist individuals in reaching their greatest potential. We work to ensure that our clients’ privacy, human rights, and overall satisfaction with services are maintained at all times. The Quality Improvement Office provides a centralized point of contact for consumers, family members, legally authorized representatives, guardians, employees, stakeholders, and the public to make complaints regarding Human Rights violations, service delivery issues, and incidents of abuse and/or neglect.
Why would you contact the Quality Improvement Office?
- You may have a concern, complaint, suggestion, or idea regarding services at RACS
- You need to report actual or suspected abuse of a person receiving services at RACS
- You are also encouraged to report this to any staff member, the Supervisor or Director of the program the person attends, or any other employee of the agency.
The Quality Improvement Office will assist in communicating to the appropriate persons your:
- Questions, concerns, suggestions, about our services
- Complaints of human rights violations
- Client advocacy issues

If you need further assistance, the Virginia Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation provides an Advocate for you. This person will assist you in further understanding your rights and if necessary, assist in an inquiry as to your concern. You may contact this person at:
